We are excited to be partnering with Plume who will be raising funds through their #PlumeStrong Cycling Challenge 2022 to support children of Ukraine & Moldova.

This 5–9 September, Plume employees, partners and friends will be cycling through the mountains of Switzerland joined by two-time winner of Tour de France, Tadej Pogačar to fund a six-month pilot of Inclusive Learning Hubs in Moldova.

An estimated 88,000 Ukrainian refugees are currently in Moldova (UNHCR, August 2022) meaning thousands of children will not be able to return to school in person this September. Inclusive Learning Hubs will provide safe spaces for Ukrainian refugee children and Moldovan children to learn, play, build friendships and have a sense of normalcy despite the challenging circumstances of war.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Plume, who will kindly be donating 100% of funds raised through their annual cycling challenge. Plume will be the founding partner of Inclusive Learning Hubs in Moldova and together, we will support the lives of hundreds of children”  Donna Beetham, Head of Corporate Partnerships.

Plume will also become Street Child’s first technology partner in Ukraine and have committed to equip children’s learning hubs in Ukraine with technology resources, including internet subscriptions, routers, and devices. This in-kind support will extend to Moldova once the new hubs have been established.

“We’re ready to make a difference to the lives of children through the #PlumeStrong Cycling Challenge 2022 and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Street Child to bring education and reliable technology to Ukrainian and Moldovan children who need it most” Fahri Diner, Plume CEO.
