run for a better world

Team up with your favourite grown-up for an epic adventure at the Street Child Sierra Leone Marathon & Cycle Challenge.

Street Child is inviting 16–21 year olds to pair up with their favourite grown-up and take on a once-in-a-lifetime challenge — all while supporting Street Child and helping ensure that children are safe, in school and learning.

You’ll visit schools built by Street Child, meet the children who learn there, and spend time with their families and communities — seeing first-hand how education can change lives. You’ll also hear directly from the Street Child team, who support thousands of children and families across Sierra Leone. You will learn how our schemes and programmes help families build sustainable incomes and keep their children in school.

You’ll also push yourself physically, taking on the ultimate challenge by running 5km, 10km, 21km or 42km. Whether it’s your first ever race or your toughest distance yet, you’ll be pushing your limits for something bigger than yourself, raising vital funds to help more children access an education.

Add leadership and global citizenship workshops, inspiring conversations with Street Child’s staff, incredible food, vibrant culture, and you have the ultimate way to challenge yourself, travel with purpose, and enrich your formative years doing something that truly matters.

Challenge yourself. Travel with purpose. Make your mark on the world!
